What to expect from an outsourced marketing consultant?

My experience lends itself to a varied role as a marketing consultant. This can take the form of creating and sculpting your marketing strategy, making sure you are focusing your efforts and budget in the right places to provide effective traffic/sales/leads into your business. Or I can act as your offsite virtual marketing manager who manages the day to day execution of your marketing plans.

It might be that your requirements don't need a full, or even part time member of staff. Or maybe you could do it yourself but you just don't have the time, and you just need someone to get shit done. 

How do I create a marketing strategy?

Firstly I have to point out that marketing is most effective with a strategy behind it. So, with this in mind, we start with your objectives and define the end goals. Without these we're just shooting in the dark and it's a complete waste of time and money, something I will never advise you do. From here we look at the market, competitors and define your target audience. Developing user personas for your audience makes your marketing much more targeted, the more targeted you are the better your results. Once we have a clear picture of the above we will understand the best approach and tactics to explore.

My experience

I have had varied roles over the past, the majority has been in the traditional marketing sense, however nowadays as traditional and digital merge, I guess so too has my experience. I've covered everything in my time from events, print, advertising, email, social media and content marketing. I've always worked closely with digital marketing teams and can confidently advise what digital channels are needed as part of your strategy. I can tell you if your keyword strategy is way off mark for Google ads, or if focusing on Instagram is waste of time, or if paid social should be 100% where you need to focus your budget to target the right audience.
